Robert Miles, a Tampa businessman who made a living out of praising billionaire Warren Buffett, is at it again.
Next up: a two-day "Buffett Wealth Seminar" in Bonn, Germany, organized by Miles, plus his third book about the uber-investor.
The German seminar, which includes workshops planned for Tuesday and Wednesday, will explore "Principles and Practical Methods Used by the World's Greatest Investor," which, not coincidentally, is the topic of Miles' book 3.
"I'm tracking how Buffett went from $100 to $36-billion . . . and how his methods fly in the face of conventional Wall Street wisdom," Miles said last week before leaving for Europe.
Miles first entered the world of Buffettmania through some innocent postings on an Internet message board five years ago praising Buffett and his company, Berkshire Hathaway. He turned the online musings into a book about 101 reasons to own Berkshire stock. Encouraged by meetings with the Oracle of Omaha himself, Miles followed up with another book about how Buffett supports the diverse companies under Berkshire's umbrella.
Seeking an international following, Miles has already journeyed to Canada and Australia to promote his third book. And he isn't about to let any language barriers get in the way. The Bonn workshops will be in English with a German translator helping out.
