Two men died over the weekend in unrelated Pinellas County shootings, authorities said.

On Sunday, sheriff's deputies arrested Alvin Wells, 51, of Clearwater, in the killing of Willie Alexander Cunningham, 34, also of Clearwater.

About 2 a.m., Wells and Cunningham were arguing over money outside Wells' duplex in the 15500 block of 60th Street N, investigators said. Wells went inside, where a New Year's gathering was taking place, got a gun, went back outside and shot Cunningham, authorities said.

Wells was charged with murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Earlier, in Largo, police investigated a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard that killed Terrence Landsm.

Just before midnight Saturday, Landsm, 26, was talking with friend Andre Hoston, 23, on a second story porch when two men walked by, said Largo police Detective Keith Barton.

The two men returned armed with a handgun, ordered Landsm and Hoston to the floor and asked them, "Where is it?" Barton said. The men took a "large sum" of money from Hoston.

Barton said at least one of the men took Landsm into the apartment and shot him in the chest. Landsm died at Largo Medical Center.
