The Treasure Island drum circle has been meeting every Sunday night since March. It has grown from its two founders, Christine Jalbert and Johanna Krynytzky, to a group of 25 drummers or more. Jalbert says, “It’s sort of profound. One night I came late, and everyone was already drumming, and it all of a sudden hit me. This circle is so much bigger than all of us. It’s living and growing on its own.”
