Cash piles grow larger in St. Pete mayoral race

Rick Baker's political action committee, Seamless Florida, raised $152,000 in June, including another $25,000 from Tampa Bay Rowdies owner Bill Edwards.

Edwards has now contributed $50,000 to the PAC, which has netted $539,553 so far.

Lobbyists and conservative groups filled out the roster with Nextech founder Kamal Majeed aslo donating $25,000.

Mayor Rick Kriseman's Sunrise PAC hasn't released its June totals yet. Through last month, the PAC had nearly $288,000.

Already the most expensive mayoral race, the cash race between Baker and Kriseman shows few signs of slowing. Baker's campaign say he's raised more than $853,0000.

The last week of June's "hard cash" numbers will be reported this week, said Baker campaign director Nick Hansen, which will round out the $300,000 total announced by the campaign.

Stay tuned for Kriseman's PAC numbers. T
