Alabama No. 1, FSU 3rd, UF 16th, USF 21st in preseason coaches top 25




What's being billed as college football's greatest opening game ever just got even more hype.

Alabama enters the season as the No. 1 team in the country, with Florida State third in the coaches' poll, released Thursday by USA Today. The two teams will meet in Atlanta for the season opener on Sept. 2. 

Ohio State is second, with USC fourth and Clemson fifth. 

The Gators are No. 16 - seven spots below their first opponent, Michigan. Miami is 18th, and USF is No. 21.

ESPN also released its top 25 Thursday morning. Alabama was No. 1, followed by FSU.

The Gators were 14th (one spot below the Wolverines), with Miami at 16 and USF at 21. Check out those full rankings here.
