Star Wars Celebration 2017: 'The Last Jedi,' 'Rebels' Season 4 and other things you missed

The Force was strong with Orlando this weekend, where Star Wars Celebration brought casts and crews from the films, authors and collectors from all around the galaxy far, far away.

Over the course of four days, the Orange County Convention Center was home to thousands of diehard Star Wars fans. The definitive Star Wars convention brought out all the stops in Orlando for the reveal of The Last Jedi teaser trailer, news on the next season of Star Wars Rebels and the reveal of the new Star Wars video game: Battlefront II.

The Last Jedi teaser trailer

The official first trailer for Episode VIII: The Last Jedi premiered during a special panel on Friday. The panel brought the third trilogy's stars  Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Mark Hamill  as well as director Rian Johnson, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and new cast member Kelly Marie Tran, who plays a maintenance worker for the Resistance who joins the fight.

There's a lot going on in this two-minute trailer. Rey seems to be training to become a Jedi with Luke, who says "breathe" and then "It's time for the end." Ominous, right?

There's also a few Easter eggs for attentive fans and glimpses of characters we thought we lost during the destruction of Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: Rebels

On Saturday, executive producer Dave Filoni announced that the upcoming fourth season of Star Wars Rebels would be the show's last. Celebration-goers got a sneak peek at the new season during a panel with the voice cast of the Ghost crew, including Freddie Prinze Jr., Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray, Vanessa Marshall and Steve Blum. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who voices the Seventh Sister, was also on hand.

Star Wars Rebels follows a motley crew of rebels doing covert missions against the Empire 14 years after the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Players rejoiced Saturday with the reveals of the new Star Wars Battlefront II. Unlike the first Battlefront, the newest Star Wars game allows a single-player mode with plenty of narrative and world-building. It's also exploring a perspective that's never really been take on before: the Empire's point of view. Gamers can play as any character from Darth Maul to Rey. The game is set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

New art from Star Wars lands at Walt Disney World

Not to be outdone, Disney teased its Star Wars lands at Celebration on Saturday. The areas and rides are coming to Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Orlando in 2019. According to Disney representatives, the lands are based on a never-before-seen planet located in the Outer Rim. The team described the remote village is a port for smugglers, adventurers and those wishing to avoid the eyes of the First Order.
