SS Matt Duffy (Achilles tendon) said he would begin his running program when the Rays returned from the trip and he is keeping his word. Duffy is going through drills in right field.

Former Ray Mikie Mahtook is chatting it up with 2B Brad Miller and bench coach Tom Foley behind the hitting cage as some of the Rays prepare for early work before BP.

The Rays returned from the above mentioned road trip, having won once in seven games. So for much for that 5-2 start during the season-opening homestand.

They take on the AL Central-leading Tigers (8-4). Miguel Cabrera, who turn 34 today, is in the lineup despite leaving Sunday’s game with lower back tightness.

Here are the lineup:

Kinsler 2B

Castellanos 3B

Cabrera 1B

Martinez DH

Upson LF

Collins RF

Avila C

Jones CF

Iglesias SS

Fulmer RHP

Dickerson LF

Kiermaier CF

Longoria 3B

Miller 2B

Souza RF

Morrison 1B
