For starters: Rays vs. Red Sox vs. rain

The scene at Fenway Park doesn't look promising.

MARC TOPKIN / TAMPA BAY TIMES

The scene at Fenway Park doesn't look promising.

UPDATE, 12:16: Cash said he's been told there would be a meeting of Red Sox officials shortly but he was under the impression they planned to play. .. Stanek made it here, by flying into Hartford and being driven over, and is understandably excited. ... Cash made it sound like he plans to throw him into the mix to work high-leverage situations. .. Cash reiterated what he said last night about Snell, that the plan was to send him to Durham to help get him straightened out. ... Alex Cobb did talk to Snell last night and said he handled the demotion well, almost like he was relieved.

Here is the Red Sox lineup:
Betts rf
Pedroia 1b
Bogaerts ss
Benintendi lf
Ramirez dh
Moreland 1b
Vazquez c
Bradley cf
Marrero 3b
Pomeranz p

DEVELOPING: Rain has been falling for hours, wind is whipping, temps are in the 40s and the forecast is ominous, but the Red Sox are still - as of now - thinking they will be playing the Rays today, with first pitch at 1:35.

RHP Matt Andriese is slated to be on the mound for the Rays, and LHP Drew Pomeranz for the Red Sox.

The Rays after Saturday's game sent down LHP Blake Snell and called up RHP Ryne Stanek, though it's not clear if he will be able to join the team for today's game due to the weather impacting flights.

Here is the Rays lineup, with four lefties against Pomeranz:
Souza rf,
Dickerson lf,
Longoria 3b,
Morrison 1b,
Weeks dh,
Miller 2b,
Beckham ss,
Kiermaier cf,
Sucre c,
Andriese p
