Tampa's Benjamin Booker to play 'Conan' on Tuesday
Quite a week for Tampa Bay musicians on late-night TV, huh?
First we had Bradenton native R.Lum.R make his late-night TV last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Now, on Tuesday, Conan is set to host Benjamin Booker, who grew up in Tampa, went to Hillsborough High School and started his acclaimed career here.
Booker, who now calls New Orleans home, will perform in support of his soulful and thoughtful new album Witness. He hasn't played Tampa in a couple of years, but is still highly regarded in the local scene -- he hung out at New World Brewery and the Skatepark of Tampa, and worked at Mojo Books and Music.
Conan airs at 11 p.m. on TBS. Also appearing Tuesday are Jennifer Jason Leigh and Andrea Savage. Click here for details.
