A Clark Griswold moment: Police pull over driver with giant Christmas tree (w/video)

It was a scene reminiscent of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

You remember the opening scene, when Clark Griswold dragged his family to a Christmas tree farm only to find the largest tree on the lot? And how it overtook his station wagon as it drove it home?

Police in Sudbury, Mass., no doubt had flashbacks to Chevy Chase's character on Friday as they drove behind a car that became engulfed by a tree on top of its roof.

The tree not only sat on top of the roof, but spilled over the sides and back and even partially covering the license plate, making it virtually impossible for the driver to see out of the rear-view mirror.

The sight prompted the police department to post this warning on its Facebook page:

Sudbury PD would like to remind you to transport your Holiday trees responsibly. One of our Officer's stopped this vehicle on Route 20 today!
