Earl of Sandwich celebrated the opening of its third Tampa Bay-area location at 11721 W Hillsborough Ave. on May 9. Jim Stanley, Earl of Sandwich president and CEO, and Oldsmar mayor Doug Bevis attended.

The fast casual restaurant features fresh, made-to-order sandwiches including such favorites as the Holiday Turkey, the Original 1762, and the Full Montagu. Fresh green salads, hand crafted wraps, artisan soups, pizza breads, and desserts are also on the menu.

The new Bayport Commons location also offers breakfast which is served until 11 a.m. daily. Breakfast menu items include bacon, egg, and cheddar, and ham and swiss sandwiches.

Earl of Sandwich was inspired by John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich who invented the sandwich in 1762.

The first Earl of Sandwich restaurant opened in Orlando at Disney Springs in 2004, and there are now locations throughout the United States.

A fourth Tampa Bay-area location is slated to open in downtown Tampa later this month, and a fifth location is planned for Carrollwood in July.

Earl of Sandwich is located at 11721 W Hillsborough Ave. For more information, call (813) 792-3052, or visit earlofsandwichusa.com.
