Amazon.com's Prime Day sales were the largest in the company's history this year, the online retailer said. According to a Wednesday release, the 30-hour sales event for Amazon Prime members from July 10 to July 11 exceeded sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
"Our teams around the world will keep working to add more and more to your membership," Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime, said.
The most popular item sold was Amazon's Echo Dot. Apart from Amazon-branded devices, the most widely-bought items in the U.S. were a pressure cooker and 23andMe DNA tests.
