Sign up extended for 'Summer Bridge' program

Registration has been extended to April 15 for the new "Summer Bridge" program to be offered by Pinellas Schools. More than 2,100 students have signed up so far for the six-week program, which seeks to curb summer learning losses among struggling students.

In a survey by the Pinellas County Council of PTAs and the Pinellas Education Foundation, 69 percent of the parents and school employees questioned expressed support for the program.
