Woman shot, left at St. Petersburg hospital

ST. PETERSBURG — A group of people rushed into Bayfront Medical Center early Friday morning, dropped off a woman and left before anyone could get their names.

Felicia Celeste Vickers, 21, had been shot and was in critical condition. She died several hours later.

Detectives are now working to find her killers. They said drugs were involved in the shooting, but Vickers' role was unclear.

Police believe Vickers, who lived at 2000 Gandy Blvd, Apt. 123, was a passenger in a car with several others individuals that at some point stopped in the 500 block of 26th Avenue S.

One of the people in the car with Vickers then got into an argument with a person outside the car, police said. That person pulled out a gun and fired into the car, striking Vickers. The others in the car took her to the hospital about 12:45 a.m.

Police said investigators have located the car and interviewed the people who were with Vickers. No suspect has been named.
