Camera needed to nab bad drivers
I live at the corner of Regency Park Boulevard and Fox Hollow Drive in west Pasco. This intersection is very dangerous. There is a traffic light there but no one pays attention to it, causing numerous accidents.
I have resided here since Thanksgiving weekend 2009. I've had cars landing in my yard and on one occasion a car that was broad-sided landed in my garden. I have been in contact with authorities, but no one seems to want to do anything about the danger constantly lurking here.
On Oct. 1, an adult bicycle rider was struck while riding south on Regency Park Boulevard. He was in the crosswalk of this intersection and was hit by a motorist who stopped, looked at him and told my neighbor she had to leave but would be right back, but never returned. The bicyclist later died leaving behind a wife, children and grandchildren.
Just how bad does it have to get in order for someone to do something to protect innocent people living near the intersection and those who have to travel through here?
There are numerous cameras up and down U.S. 19. My neighbors and I would like a camera installed here and some speed bumps. I have spent close to $2,000 buying huge boulders to try to protect my home and property because many at-fault drivers don't even have liability insurance. I sincerely hope something can be done before this problem gets worse.

Good people willing to help
In a Target parking lot recently, the wind took my cart as I tried to open the car door.
A young girl ran to the cart and asked if I needed help. She and her mother got my bags in the vehicle. I thanked them both, but I want everyone to know there are good people willing to help.
