1 Avant-Gardeners: Children ages 5 and older can take a free tour of the strange gardens at the Dalí Museum and learn how Dalí's work was influenced by nature. Free. 1-1:45 p.m. Sunday 1 Dalí Blvd., St. Petersburg. thedali.org.

2 I Like It Hot Festival: Turn up the heat with fiery foods, sauces and salsas at the 17th annual spicy food festival with a pepper eating contest, amateur hot sauce competition, a hot hula hoop competition, spicy lolly lick-a-thon, amateur salsa competition, free samples and hundreds of pepper plants for sale. $5, 12 and younger free. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. 3 CANCELED Kid's Art Fest: The Dunedin Fine Art Center will have hands-on activities for the entire family including the paint-a-car, music by the Bones South trombone band, dance and circus arts, games, hotdogs and take-home art activities. 4 African Hope Expo: This festival celebrating the diverse cultures of Africa includes art, crafts, dancing, storytelling, drumming, entertainment, food, clothing and jewelry. 5 Eckerd College International Cinema Series: The annual series returns with free weekly screenings in the Miller Auditorium. First up on Friday is Clash (Arabic with English subtitles) directed by Egypt's Mohamed Diab. Two years after the Arab Spring, a series of arrests finds rival demonstrators trapped together inside a police van while rioting takes place outside. Variety called it "bravura filmmaking with a kick-in-the-gut message about chaos and cruelty (with some humanity)." 7 p.m. Friday at 4200 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg.     ORLANDO — Christmas has finally come to Hogwarts at Universal Orlando in a new holiday attraction opening Saturday. In addition, Universal Studios has completely upsized its holiday parade with more Macy's balloons, stunning floats and snowy effects before Santa and his new sleigh enter for a finale.
