1Florida Orchestra Family Concerts: This family-friendly "pay what you can" show brings husband-and-wife musicians Anna Kate Mackle, principal harp for the Florida Orchestra, and John Shaw, principal percussion, who will demonstrate their instruments and play together. Arrive early for art activities and the instrument petting zoo. Concerts are at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the HCC Ybor Campus Performing Arts Building, 1304 E 11th Ave., Tampa. 2Blast Friday: The Clearwater block party brings a free show by John Waite, whose 1984 pop ballad Missing You (I Ain't Missing You at All) dominated the charts. You'll also find food and craft vendors. 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday. 400 block of Cleveland Street. Free.

3Black Arts Festival: The street festival in the neighborhood nicknamed the Deuces will showcase the work of local and national artists. Family activities include the Nomad Art Bus and a tour of the African American Heritage Trail for $5. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at 22nd Street and Ninth Avenue S, St. Petersburg.

4Fiesta Day: This street party celebrates the cuisine, culture and heritage of the Latin immigrants who settled Ybor City. Free. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Italian Club (Ybor), 1731 E Seventh Ave., Tampa.

5Peter Max: Meet the artist, and see the newly curated collection of his psychedelic paintings at Syd Entel Galleries this weekend at two receptions, 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. 247 Main St., Safety Harbor.
