Tampa pass offers deals for museums, restaurants

Downtown Tampa museums and restaurants have joined forces to offer an Arts and Entertainment Pass that gets you into museums and special offers at restaurants. The $30 pass is valued at $78.75 and includes one-day admission to the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, the Henry B. Plant Museum and the Tampa Bay History Center. You also get a movie ticket to Tampa Theatre and a buy-one-get-one ride on the TECO Line Streetcar, plus deals at six restaurants, such as a free dessert with your entree at Mise en Place or a free cup of Kahwa coffee. The program runs through Sept. 30. You can buy the pass at the museums or Tampa Theatre. A list of attractions and restaurants participating can be found at tampasdowntown.com/play. — Sharon Kennedy Wynne

TAMPA — Tampa Repertory Theatre's Gnit strikes gold for theatergoers who appreciate deadpan wit, clever wordplay and incisive commentary on the human condition.
